About the club

We meet in a comfortable and friendly setting and enjoy a huge variety of music without the distraction of bar noise or booming speakers. A warm welcome awaits, with good beer and coffee on tap and only 5 minutes from Chesham's town centre. There is full disabled access to our meeting room.

Once or twice a month we have singers' nights that are open to all who wish to sing or play. Other than "acoustic" there is no restriction on material. The floor is open to performers of all levels and ages. From shaky beginnings some of our performers have gone on to enjoy careers as professional musicians. All we ask is that you do the best you can and that you enjoy yourself. We also run Feature Nights where local guests or young musicians combine 2 x 20 minute sets with a singers' night.

Twice a year we book major artistes. In 2010 we have Chris Wood in March and Martin Carthy in November. Both of these will be a special treat and advanced booking is advised.

We try to run a varied programme mixing contemporary and traditional performers with occasional visitors from the USA and Canada. Above all we strive to create a warm and comfortable atmosphere for all visitors, members and performers. All we ask is that you enjoy yourself and that you respect all artistes by not talking whilst they are performing.

Hope to see you soon!!

Singers' Nights are £2 for members and £3 for visitors unless otherwise stated. Membership is only £6 p.a. (1st September - 31st August)
